Hi, my name is Danielle and I am an artist with a soulful approach to the creative process.
I love intuitively painting large and small abstract pieces in acrylic, enjoying the opportunity to express my feelings through colour and movement.
I have a profound connection with colour and its many healing properties and a deep love for the beautiful world we live in and often my work resembles this in some form.
I also love to draw animals in ink and mixed media, whilst creating them I feel a connection of spirit. They feel like animal guides here to offer guidance and love.
As well as making my own art, I facilitate art, craft and fashion workshops in schools, youth centres and community art projects and have loved the opportunity to work with children and encourage and nurture their many creative talents.
Before choosing to become a full time artist I worked as a fashion designer for 20 years, I had always had a passion for clothes, fabrics and colour from being a young age. This took me on many an adventure and I got to visit many different countries and meet so many amazing people.
Although I enjoyed the journey this took me on my heart grew tired and called for a change. I knew that this change involved art making and wanting to help inspire creativity, have fun, encourage and heal with the art process.

We commissioned Danielle to create a 220cm x 110cm painting for our lounge. Danielle spent time looking at the colours and layout of the room, and discussing what we liked. I understand that she then did colour readings based on our astrological footprints. The piece that she created is breathtaking. Words cannot express the beauty of it nor the uplifting and inward turning effect of the piece.
Having stared at it for several weeks now I am still finding new faces and aspects each time I look at it and enter a time warp, emerging some time later feeling altogether more whole for the experience.
